Making Money With Twitter - Easy Methods Discussed By Mika Hamilton

If you are looking for a way to make money online you probably heard about making money with Twitter. Like owning a blog or promoting your business using Facebook pages you can also make money using Twitter, and you can be creative at that as well.
There are several ways to make money on Twitter, the most popular way these days is to use one of many Twitter advertising networks like Magpie and Sponsored tweets. What these networks do is give you a chance to tweet some of their client's tweets and you get paid either by CPC method or CPA method, depending on the offer.
You can also tweet any of your affiliate links and products on Twitter and get a commission if you make a sale. Basically, anything you could do with your website that relies on people following a certain link for you to get paid can work, so you can be creative, but like with your blog or website you need visitors and traffic, well sort of.
You probably read about making money on twitter and that the only thing you need is followers and there are plenty of free services that offer you to get thousands of followers a month. But having 10,000 followers doesn't mean you will make any money on Twitter, like with a blog you need targeted traffic, in this case followers and you won't get them simply by mass following.
The only way to make money on Twitter using any method is to engage with your followers. You need to be a leader on twitter, someone people take notice of. If you are just one out of thousands and thousands of people that have a legion of followers but get re-tweeted only 5 times a day you won't get far nor will you earn any money, you will be ignored.
You need to engage your followers, re-tweet their tweets, reply to some mentions, provide useful info without links, and basically do everything you would do with your blog to gain trust. Once you gain the trust you can monetize your twitter account. At that point it won't matter if you have 1,000 or 20,000 followers, you will be able to make more money with your Twitter account then you could if you simply mass followed thousands of people.
The principle is the same like with blogging, if people don't trust you and don't know who you are they will not buy anything nor will they follow any links you post in your tweets. So get active and get known.

How To Make Money With Twitter Using 6 Proven Marketing Strategies == By Chris Gustafson

In the past couple of years Twitter has gone from an insignificant "instant messaging" site to a rapidly growing social network. Even now the number of tweets posted on Twitter per day is STILL growing. This is great news for us Internet Marketers out there, because with great growth comes great opportunity. To maximize this opportunity and make money with Twitter here are six things you MUST do:
1.) Remember Twitter is a social network - The worst way to attempt to make money with Twitter would be to tweet out nothing but affiliate and biz opportunity links.....Don't do it, you will be labeled a spammer and Twitter will deactivate your account.
2.) Keep A 90/10 Ratio For Your Tweets - 90% of your tweets should be useful information and 10% of your tweets can be about business (affiliate links, business opportunity links, etc...).
3.) Fill Out Your Twitter Profile Completely - This should seem like a no-brainer, and I hope it is, but a LOT of Internet marketers don't do this. Completely filling out your Twitter profile means that you have a picture uploaded, a short bio, and a link to your website or blog.
4.) Build A List Of Targeted Followers - One of the great things about Twitter is that you can see "who is following who". Meaning that you can find some of the "big names" in your niche and see who is following them and then turn around and follow the same people. This is great because the people who are following the leaders in your niche are obviously qualified prospects. So the quickest way to get a list of targeted followers is to find the leaders in your niche, and follow everyone who is following them (Don't worry if this sounds HUGELY boring, you can software do this automatically for you...see below)
5.) Get Noticed By Your Followers - Pay attention! This IS the most important step! Every day it seems that the amount of people trying to make money with Twitter is growing and growing. You would think that this would be a disadvantage for you......it's NOT! Here's why: Most people who are "trying to make money with Twitter" have NO clue what they are doing. Therefore, when someone who DOES know what they are doing and provides value to their followers, they get noticed and paid attention to even more!
Here are three steps to get "noticed" by your followers:
  • Obey the 90/10 rule and as part of your 90% of non-business related tweets, make sure you are providing value. Don't be afraid to tweet out a link to someone else's blog post that was helpful, or an article you just read. By providing value to your followers they will pay attention to you and be much more inclined to click on links when you ARE selling something
  • When you post a business or "sales" tweet, go for the soft sell.....In other words; don't tweet out "Great Business Opportunity, Pays 5 Levels Deep, I Get Your First Two For You". People are sick and tired of seeing crap like that on Twitter. Instead, tweet out something like this "Looking For Business Partners -Part Time, Full Time Great Opp For Right Person" The first tweet may sound better, but I guarantee you that you will get more clicks to your link with the second tweet. Twitter is a social network and people don't like being "hard sold" in social media.
  • Respond to ALL direct messages for as long as you can. Up until you get to about 20,000 followers, it should be your goal to respond to all non-spam direct messages. If someone sends you a DM and asks you a question, respond back to them. Build a relationship. People pay much more attention to other "tweeple" they have interacted with. The more people you can build relationships with the better your results will be.
6.) The final tip to make money with Twitter is this.....Give it time! -- If you already have a Twitter account with a bunch of targeted followers then success will come quicker for you. However, if you are just starting out, expect to take about 3-6 months to build up a healthy loyal Twitter following.
Twitter Automation.....
Making money with Twitter can be very easy when you follow the steps above. However, the downside is that it is going to take you time to build up a large following that loves you and consistently clicks on your tweeted out links. Not only that, but it is a HUGE pain to log-in to Twitter throughout the day and post valuable tweets out. It becomes a 1/hr per day JOB.
To cut down on the time it takes to do those mind numbing monotonous tasks, I recommend using a Twitter automation tool. A good Twitter automation tool will do ALL of your Twitter tasks automatically throughout the day. Some of those tasks include:
Following/Unfollowing
Tweeting At Random Intervals
Responding To DM's
Re-Tweets
Follow Backs
The amount of time that the newest most advanced Twitter tools can save you is ridiculous! The one that I use and recommend to all of my clients is Tweet Adder. Tweet adder is largely responsible for my 35,000+ followers and the income I generate using Twitter. The software is very cheap and to the serious marketer should be a no-brainer purchase decision.

What Is Geotagging on Twitter? ==By Hosea Lim

Geotagging on Twitter allows you to input your exact location in a tweet. It is a new feature by Twitter, where you post your specific location down to the exact latitude and longitude coordinates. These coordinates are known as the GEO tag.
Why would you want to GEO tag Twitter? You would not want to risk your own privacy. People will know your specific location, at any time and place. This is a potentially dangerous tool that can be abused by stalkers and criminals.
First of all, you do not have to go all paranoid. Twitter is, essentially, a public broadcasting system. It is more of a public message for your friends to know who, what, when and where you are. You can pretty much say as much or as little information as you can. You can brag about your current trip in Italy. Or you can invite your friends to visit you at the café you are currently at. You can even tweet about robbing the bank in your local town. That will help the local police a lot.
How do you GEO tag? It only takes a few steps. First of all, turn on your Geotagging feature on your Twitter account under the Settings menu. Geotagging option in Twitter is turned off by default. The next thing to do is to download cell phone applications that can attach GEO tags. Twitter alone cannot attach GEO tags. You will need third party Twitter applications for this. One good app for this is Tweetdeck, Gowalla or Foursquare.
Many people fail to see the importance of Geotagging, but they prove an invaluable tool for marketing and promoting businesses. It is an innovative tool for informing your customers about your business. How? For example, a tourist comes to your town and would like to find a place to eat. They can do so by checking Twitter to see nearby restaurants in his location. He can also read reviews, recommendations and comments posted by others. This will prove invaluable to your business and the customers as well.
What are other instances where GEO tags will prove helpful? An individual may have heard of great recommendations from a friend and would like to try your services. Maps may prove helpful, but they can be confusing and they are hard to come by. GEO tags are easier to access.
For now, many business establishments have used this method for their business advantage. Whether Geotagging remains a mere fad or a lasting marketing tool remains to be seen. For now, it is very effective in expanding your reach to a wider audience.

Identify Target Markets With These Twitter Tools By Stacy Kinney

Your success in business depends on making sales. Without enough sales to maintain the business and your lifestyle all you really have is an expensive hobby. To maximize your sales potential, you want to focus on attracting people in your target market to your business.
What is a Target Market?
Your target market is the group of people who are most likely to be interested in your product or service. This group is often defined by a combination of demographics such as their gender, age, income and educational level. Although there often is overlap, target markets vary from business to business and product to product.
Once you have created a definition of your target market, you can use a variety of social media tools to help you connect with them. Here are a few Twitter applications that will assist you in identifying your target audience so you can market your product or service more effectively.
1 - Twitter Local: This is an Adobe Air application that allows you to filter the public Twitter streams based on location. So if you were looking for someone in your local area, you would simply enter your city and state and you will be presented with a stream of users who live close to you. This is great for businesses who want to market to their local customers.
2 - Twellow: This is a directory created by the producers of WebProNews that categorizes Twitter users by topic. So if your target market were people who have an interest in social media, you would click through their list of categories until you found the appropriate one. Clicking on it will bring up a list of all the people tweeting about that topic.
3 - Twollo: This is an application that lets you track conversations based on keywords. You can follow the discussion of specific topics related to your business. For example, as the owner of an online shopping portal, I look for people who shop on the internet or who may be looking for good deals online.
4 - Tweetbeep: This Twitter tool is similar to Twollo except you are sent email alerts every time someone mentions the keyword you entered. You can also use this to keep track of who is talking about you, your company and your products.
5 - WhoShouldIFollow: This tool analyzes who you are currently following and gives you a list of other users who are similar that you might like to follow. If your follow list is already full of people in your target market, this tool can help you reach more people in the same category.
Finding and connecting with your target market is a much easier task when you use social media tools to help you. By selling to people who are interested in your product or service, you'll have an easier time building the profitable business you want.

Make Money On Twitter

Twitter, while free, does offer an online marketer a way to make money. And it's probably not as difficult as you might think. But, you do have to go about it a certain way.
First, you need to take the time to understand Twitter and what it's purpose is. Using it the wrong way to just tweet message after message about some money making opportunity will not earn you the income you're looking for.
Twitter, as you may know, let's people write timely messages that are only 140 characters long. These status messages can be anything from "I'm heading off to the gym" to "Find out how to get website traffic for free. Visit (some URL)".
But perhaps the most important thing to remember about Twitter is that you get back what you give. In other words, once you begin using Twitter and making status updates, you want to give as much as you can first before asking for something in return.
For instance, let's say you ran a website about tennis shoes and had tennis shoes for sale on this website. When you make your status updates, you'd first want to start by giving advice about what kinds of shoes to buy for a certain kind of activity. What shoes are important for running? Or how an arch in the shoe may help or hurt your feet and legs.
At first it may be difficult to come up with ideas to send your followers, but one way to make sure that you stay on top of the latest trends for your market is to simply find some related websites, subscribe to them using a feed reader such as Google's and then make a daily visit to these feeds to see what's being posted. As you come across information that you think may be helpful to your followers, post a link and a short update about what the story is about.
Every so often you can then recommend one of your products. For instance, if there were a story about a certain kind of running shoe that has been getting rave reviews, mention that you can get this shoe at your website.
Another key to using Twitter effectively is to make sure you're updating often. You don't want folks to forget who you are or why they chose to follow you in the first place.
Oftentimes it isn't possible to visit Twitter on a consistent basis throughout the day so you can use a service such as SocialOomph.com which will allow you to schedule your tweets; a fantastic time-saver.
The key with Twitter is to not market to everyone all of the time. Those people who make the most money using Twitter first strive to earn the trust of their followers and then market to them once in a while.
That said, the amount of money you do make from Twitter will vary greatly based upon the number of followers you have. So actively strive to follow people each and every day. In the marketing world, a conversion rate, or in other words, the number of buyers there are based upon the number of people who see a message, is usually around 1%.
At Twitter, it's usually less because not everyone will actually see your message. Oftentimes you'll find that those who you follow also have hundreds if not thousands of other people that they're following and if you fall into this statistic you'll know just how difficult it is to keep up with everyone's tweets.
The point is, the more followers you have, the more likely you are to make more sales.
So update your status often, make sure you're giving helpful information to your followers, and then only market to them every so often.
