Which WordPress Is the Right One for You - (.COM) or (.ORG)? -- By Stephen Looney

Wordpress.com is free and you can learn how to do it for free on it.
Once you get the hang of WP.com you can than get a hosting company for $10/month & domain name for $10/year and make your website on wordpress.org
I had been confused by these two blogging platforms/CMS (content management system) at first
One more thing Wordpress.com does not allow you to put ads on it
Learn on WP.com than make your money site on WP.org
--------------Article Begins Below------

Which WordPress Is the Right One for You - (.COM) or (.ORG)?

I simply LOVE WordPress for blogging. Whether it's personal or business, WordPress blogs are widely used due to its notable features. It is interesting to note, however, that WordPress comes in two types: WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
In order to get the most out of your blogging experience, choosing which WordPress type to use for your blog is crucial. You have to be able to assess what you need and pick the type that will fit your preference. Here is a rundown to help you decide.
WordPress (.org)
Basically, WordPress.org gives its users more leeway when it comes to designing blogs. You can actually have your site stand out from the rest due to its customization features. Also, you have a wide array of templates and plug-ins to choose from. This advantage works well for blogs that are after functionality.
In order to effectively use WordPress.org, here are a few guidelines:
-You would need a hosting provider that enables both FTP access and a MySQL database. Go Daddy has a great service where you can sign-up for specific hosting geared towards creating the whole WordPress database for you, so if you're not tech savvy, don't worry.
-You need some basic HTML knowledge to do the basics, but you will have a huge advantage with more knowledge of HTML coding.
WordPress (.com)
Meanwhile, what WordPress.com primarily offers is its setup convenience. It's free (excluding the domain) and you don't have to worry about themes and templates because they are made available for you. This is perfect for bloggers who are familiar with the ins and outs of designing a blog.
A major drawback is that due to the fact that WordPress.com specifically caters to bloggers who are not very concerned of the site's layout, the look of the blog is typically generic. As a Designer, I will tell you that the look and feel of a webpage is very important in keeping people coming back.
My website is completely built within WordPress(.org). WordPress is a content management system which has allowed me to be very creative. The only thing that can limit you is the theme you decide to use for a site. The great thing about it is that within the theme, you are able to build all completely custom graphics. I have found that it is much more suitable to the kind of business I am going to be performing.

How to Find Free WordPress Themes -- By Lynette Crase

Expert Author Lynette Crase
One of the benefits of using WordPress for your blogs is that you can easily change the layout of your blog by changing the theme. There are many free WordPress themes, or free blog templates, that are available. You can also choose to have a unique theme designed for you. In addition, you can also purchase a pre-made theme.
A WordPress theme is a collection of files that will create graphics for your blog. This provides a type of skin for your blog, almost the way a book cover will change the look of a book. By choosing a theme that reflects the subject of your blog, you can make your blog more appealing to your visitors. It can also make your blog much more memorable.
WordPress has two themes that come with the basic installation of your blog. These themes are very simple and are a very generic design.
WordPress has their own theme directory which contains over 500 themes and the number is growing. When you look at the directory, you will be able to see a list of the most popular themes. You will also be able to see a list of the newest themes that have been added. Still another section will show you themes that have been recently updated.
To easily find a theme that goes along with your blog, use the Search feature at the top of the page. Type in a word or phrase and you will be shown the themes that go along with those search criteria.
WordPress encourages each theme designer to come up with their own installation instructions for their theme. When you select a theme, be sure to read the directions for installation so that you would be able to use the theme correctly.
Another option that you will see in the same section where you will see the different themes is an option for headers. This is slightly different than choosing a theme because it does not affect the entire blog page, but it is simply a different graphic at the top of the blog. You can use something like this if you want to keep a clean, crisp area for your text without any clutter.
One thing to keep in mind is that you do not only want to choose a theme that will be aligned with your subject matter, but you also want to consider the purpose for your blog. If you have a blog that is for business purposes, it is best to keep a theme that is either business oriented or is somewhat plain. You want to avoid whimsical designs (unless whimsical designs would be a perfect complement to the subject matter of your blog and your business).
Remember that you can always change your theme later. There are plenty of free WordPress themes to choose from, and it is very easy to switch from one theme to another. Be adventurous and try something different with your WordPress blog.

Free Blogs Vs Self-Hosted Blogs - Why You Should Own Your Blog== By Elisabeth Kuhn Platinum Quality Author

There are a number of sites out there that allow you to set up a blog or some other web presence. That's great and it can be very useful too. But read on about why you need a self-hosted blog as your main blog.
You may have invested some time and energy already into setting up a blogger blog. Or maybe you have one hosted by WordPress. Keep them.
But also set up your own blog -- with your own domain name and on your own hosting account. There are several reasons for that.
1) It's not really yours
It's not really your own blog. Just read their terms of service and you'll get the idea.
If they don't like what you do, they can take it away overnight and you will never know until you go there and you can't find it anymore. So that's why it's not a good idea to use that as a main blog. But it doesn't hurt to have one as a supplementary blog.
2) There are "rules"
You're subject to many more restrictions than if you had your own blog. Essentially, if you have your own blog, you can pretty much do whatever you want. But if you're on a blogger blog... oh well.
They don't like to be used for sending traffic to your "real" blog. And they don't want to be used for sending traffic to a sales letter either. They don't like to be too commercialized.
That's unfortunate because that's what many people use them for.
So if they catch on to what you're up to, it's bye-bye, blog!
3) Little flexibility
There's little flexibility in terms of themes and plug ins. While the options are practically limitless with a self-hosted WordPress blog, the free ones have just a few themes to choose from, and when it comes to plug-ins... oh well.
But the biggest problem is that you don't really own them. And in order for a website to really get serious clout on Google, you need lots of content. And when you invest a lot of time and energy (or money) in creating that content, you want to make sure it'll be around for you to benefit from.
At least that's what I would want. Wouldn't you?
So is there a place for Blogger blogs and free WordPress blogs? Sure. Just never forget what's what, and be sure to set up a self-hosted blog as your main business blog. You can use all the free blogs you want as supplements, or for fun.

Social Media Marketing - 3 Twitter Tools To Help You Make More Money -- By Carla McNeil Platinum Quality Author

One of the success habits with Social Marketing is consistency. With Twitter it is absolutely necessary to be there consistently, remember the old saying...
Out of site, out of mind. John Heywood
Twitter is like having the radio on in the background. You do not have to pay attention to every Tweet that rolls by, nor do your followers look at every single tweet you send out. When you think of it as a radio you can also follow the processes and procedures that a radio station follows. Their programs are consistent, the advertisements are short, quick and repeated often, and they provide information that interests you. If you were not interested you would not be listening. You can set up your own "radio station" on Twitter, program what you want your "listeners" to see. Here are three tools that will assist you in creating a twitter stream where you can provide great information just like a radio station.
HootSuite is a free program that allows you to monitor your social media accounts all from one platform. You can quickly and easily check all your accounts, start conversations, re-tweet great information or even schedule specific tweets to go out at a later time or date. I like to tweet links to my articles on a very regular basis, I consider them to be my advertisements about who I am and what I do.
YourTweetAdder dot com is a paid product, you will have to purchase this one. In my humble opinion it is well worth the price. With YourTweet Adder you can automate a number of the functions of your Twitter account. This leaves you more time to do the most important work, connecting with people. There are two functions in this program that are priceless. Autofollow, now I don't just follow anybody, I find the experts in my niche and figure out what they are up to. The other is automated tweets, I have a base set up so that I am always consistent. Then I add to it using HootSuite.
Twellow is another free program that allows you to find the leaders in your niche. You can discover the hot topics and then you can tweet about them while they are still hot.
With these tools you will be able to maintain a consistent presence on Twitter so that people will know, like and trust you. Because we know that people buy from those they know, like and trust, which in turn enables you to make more money.
And now, I would like to invite you to get your Free Instant Access to 30 Social Media Marketing Tips & Techniques to build your home business using Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and YouTube.

Make Some Easy Money Writing Blogs By Aidan James

Hundreds of thousands of people around the world are making money from blogs easily every day and there is nothing to stop you joining them. Maintaining a blog or even several of them is actually very easy, you don't need to learn code or get involved in any of the technical stuff unless you really want to. You can have free blogs like those at Blogger or WordPress or for more flexibility get your own blog on your own domain.
What can you blog about? Just about anything really but it is usually best to start on a subject you already have an interest in or know something about. That way your writing will be more natural and you'll appear more genuinely authoritative to your readers. Even folk who think they can't write a shopping list find they can easily write an interesting post if they just imagine they are talking to a friend.
Making money with your blog is quite simple too! Once you have some traffic coming to your blog you can join one of the affiliate programs and put some ads on your site and gain a commission for every time one of your readers buys the advertised product. There are affiliate programs for just about every kind of service and product you can imagine, if you're new to it I would suggest signing to one or two of the major affiliate managers like Commission Junction or ClickBank to begin with. If affiliate ads are not your thing you can easily put some contextual ads on your site from big players like Google's AdSense program.
If you would like a helping hand on getting started I can recommend checking out the links below they have been extremely helpful to thousands of people getting started with blogs and ebooks.

What's the First Thing You Need to Do to Start a Blog?

(Make Money Blogging With This Simple Step)

If you're just setting out to start a blog, you're making a very wise decision. Blogs are one of the best ways that you can make money online today because they're easy to start (and you can start them very fast) and they are fun to maintain. Plus, you truly can make an income with a blog even if you're new to online marketing. So what do you do to get your blog started and running? Here's the first step you need to take to make money with your blog.
Before you can even begin to make a penny off of your blog, you will need to take one crucial step in preparation. It is absolutely imperative that you begin blogging for money by getting a solid business model in place. This might sound ridiculous if you're thinking blogging is an easy way to make money on the internet. It is. But if you want to be successful, you absolutely must plan for success. Doesn't that only make sense? Here's why.
All successful businesses begin with a strategic plan. You have to literally plan for success. And yes, the blog you're about to create is a business. It might be easier to run and way cheaper to start up, but it is a business - you're going to be providing a service (the content of your blog) and in exchange, you'll be compensated monetarily (through advertising, product sales and affiliate sales). So before even creating your blog, you need to decide on how you want to monetize your blog because that's going to affect every element of your blog from the niche you choose to go into to the design of the blog itself.
Creating a money-making blog should be simple but many people find the process difficult and confusing. If you want to learn how to set up your very own blog for free, sign up for my Make Money Blogging Challenge today!

Tips For Bloggers - Generate Blog Post Ideas

If you've been blogging for any length of time, you know that one of the most difficult things to do is consistently coming up with ideas to write about on your blog that continually interest your readers and generate more traffic and interest in what you have to offer. Here are a few tips on how to come up with an endless amount of topics to write about for your blog.
In order to ensure that you never run out of things to write about for your blog, come up with a strategic outline that gives you a nearly infinite amount of things to write about. Here's how to do it. First, think of the bigger picture. What is the main idea that defines your whole blog? What bigger market are you in? (Your blog might be in a smaller niche, but what general market is it in?)
Now think of your typical blog visitor. Imagine what questions they might have about your general blog topic. Write down ten of the best questions you can imagine. Now, in your head answer these questions mentally. Imagine reciting your answer to an absolute newbie to the information you're discussing. Now imagine what questions might arise if you were new to this knowledge.
Use this thought exercise to write down ten questions for each of the ten topics. That gives you one hundred ideas for future blog posts! Remember that if you could come up with the question, countless others have that exact same question and are just waiting for you to answer them!

Tom Kulzer CEO Aweber On Consistency

Your web business probably gets product inquiries from potential
customers around the globe. Inquiries come via e-mail and your web
site, and you try to send information to each hot prospect as
quickly as you can. You know that you can drastically increase the
likelihood of making a sale by satisfying each person's need for
information quickly!

But, after you've delivered that first bit of information to your
prospect, do you send him any further information?

CLICK HERE for info on how the pro's do it!

If you are like most Internet marketers, you don't.

When you don't follow that initial message with additional
information later on, you let a valuable prospect slip from your
grasp! This is a potential customer who may have been very
interested in your products, but who lost your contact information,
or was too busy to make a purchase when your first message reached
him.

Often, a prospect will purposely put off making a purchase, to see
if you find him important enough to follow up with later. When he
doesn't receive a follow up message from you, he will take his
business elsewhere.

Are you losing profits due to inconsistent and ineffective follow
up?

Following up with leads is more than just a process - it's an art.
In order to be effective, you need to design a follow up system,
and stick to it, EVERY DAY! If you don't follow up with your
prospects consistently, INDIVIDUALLY, and in a timely fashion, then
you might as well forget the whole follow up process.

Consistent follow up gets results!

When I first started marketing and following up with prospects, I
used a follow up method that I now call the "List Technique." I had
a large database containing the names and e-mail addresses of
people who had specifically requested information about my products
and services. These prospects had already received my first letter
by the time they requested more information, so I used the
company's latest news as a follow up piece.

I would write follow up newsletters every now and then, and send
them, in one mass mailing, to everyone who had previously requested
information from me. While this probably did help me win a few
additional orders, it wasn't a very good follow up method. Why
isn't the "List Technique" very effective?

    * The List Technique isn't consistent. Proponents of the List
Technique tend to only send out follow up messages when their
companies have "big news".

    * List Technique messages don't give the potential customer any
additional information about the product or service in question. He
can't make a more informed buying decision after receiving a
newsletter! If someone is wondering whether your company sells the
best knick-knacks, what does he care that you've just moved your
headquarters?

    * List Technique messages convey a "big list" mentality to your
potential customers. When I used to write follow up messages using
the List Technique, I was writing news bulletins to everyone I
knew! I should have been sending a personal message to each
individual who wanted to know more about my products.
