6 Powerful Facebook Marketing Tips -- By Lindsey Jenkins

Finding the perfect place for showcasing products, services and websites for free is every business-minded netizen's dream. Thankfully, Facebook has made this "dream" a reality. With over half a billion users and thousands of fan pages and online communities to check out, the popular social media platform has brought potential clients closer to home.
It's no longer a secret how Facebook is crucial in online marketing. Nonetheless, many people believe that a single register is enough. For marketers, this is not enough. There is so much more to Facebook marketing than just putting up your profile. Keeping your fans involved is the ultimate key. In this article are six powerful Facebook marketing tips to help you find your way to success!
1. Create your Facebook profile. Start establishing your identity by creating a Facebook profile for yourself and your business. Having a Facebook profile as your way of positioning a business will take you a long way in establishing relationships with users. In creating your profile, don't forget to put in your profile picture, photo albums and videos, wall and "add friends" button.
2. Create a fan page for your business. Facebook pages, also referred to as "fan pages", are typically designed for brands, products, services, celebrities, musicians and businesses. The fan page feature enables organizations, public figures and other entities to generate public presence in Facebook. You can encourage potentials to become fans of your business page by sharing any significant information with them via uploading photos and videos worth a million shares, administering discussion posts and displaying status updates or wall posts.
3. Use the Facebook Events feature. The latter helps you connect with your target clients by sending them invites to your events, even if some of them aren't included in your list of friends or fans. Facebook gives users an opportunity to create their own events that can be either public or private.
4. Participate in other Facebook pages. Take a research on other fan pages related to your business. Use the website's "search" tool so you can actively start posting comments on their updates. This is also a way for you to build a connection with the industry.
5. Tag your fans via photos. You can tag your fans in photos with your new collections or convince them to tag themselves as a part of your promo. In 2009, Grammy-winning musician Lenny Kravitz uploaded over a hundred photos of his Italian tour and asked his then two million fans to tag themselves. This resulted to good publicity as many of his Kravitz' updates on being tagged appeared on the fans' wall.
6. Generate Facebook Plug-ins to your page. The "Like" button enables users to share anything from your page to their profile. The "Recommendation" button meanwhile gives them the option of personalizing suggestions for other fan pages they like. These two are just among the few plug-ins you need to generate. Other buttons that can be essential in Facebook marketing are LiveStream, LikeBox and comments.

Social Media Marketing (SMM) - For a 'Casual' Business -- By Venus Kumar Vij

Social media marketing has taken the garb of the present-day advertising. There is hardly anything that goes unnoticed at the hands of a social networking spot. The Netizens have added social networking to their daily routines and make sure that no buzz goes out without their knowledge. This trend is what has kickstarted the new epoch that is springing up at such a fast pace.
When was the last time you went to watch a movie without giving an ounce of information to your virtual social circle, and didn't discuss it even once when you returned? Quite a while back, right? As far as I have observed, it has become the trend among the masses to let the world know of the updates about us in digital formats like scraps, chitchats, comments and tweets. If this is the level of dedication towards the social networks, then why should the businesses lag behind? They, too, have opted for social networks to let us know of their latest tidings.
Social media optimization (SMO/SMM) works in a very sensible manner by making appearances at the spots where the target groups frequent the most, and what could be better than Facebook, Twitter, Digg and Reddit? An online marketing provider targets the concerned user groups and makes frequent appearances to fall into their sight.
The businesses can attain a lot of information about their consumer group by just keeping an eye on their online discussions. When a social media consultant for a leading chocolate company sees people talking about one specific product more than any other one from the same company, it is but obvious for him to believe that the product in question is better than any other. This little analysis boils down to two things
• The brand gets to know that the other products need to be raised to the level of the most loved one. They do it much in time, thus raising the sales.
• Those who have not had the best one wish to try it, thus raising the sales. Those who have not tried the new entrants wish to try them, thus raising the sales.
As is quite clear, opting for such a marketing package is a win-win deal for the chocolate company, and for the consumers too. This multi-utility status of social media optimization (SMO/SMM) stands true for every business house. It raises the sales to an extent much larger than what mere advertising could target.
Media has been conveniently split into three broad segments Electronic Media, Print Media and Social Media. When there are advertisements running across the TV screens and in the newspapers, why not do the talking on a universal portal? See what social media services have in store for you opt for an effective package... NOW!

Facebook Marketing: The Basics for Beginners -- By Kathryn Lively

I almost decided not to write this article, because my fear is once it hits heavy distribution most of what I have written here could be rendered obsolete. This is the risk you take in writing a guide to using social media or SEO techniques - what is valid now may not be in the future as sites and platforms change. With regards to Facebook, I doubt we'll see the last of major changes to the interface and they will allow businesses to use it for promotional purposes. That said, there are some basics a newcomer to the social network should know, and hopefully these tips will remain timely.
Profile or Page?
In the time I have worked with business owners to build their Facebook followings, I'm not surprised to see how many people are confused about concept of the Facebook page. Occasionally I'll get calls from clients asking for the "login" to their Facebook page and I have to explain that access is obtain through their personal accounts. To clarify.
1) A Facebook page can only be created by a person with a Facebook account.
2) The only people who can make edits to a Facebook page are people with administrative access. You can add as many administrators to the page as you wish, just make sure they are people you trust.
3) When an admin makes a post to the Facebook page wall, the post will read as having come from the page, and not the person who wrote it. At this writing, there is no way to change the functionality to make a wall post from an admin look like it's come from you as a person. This is why you want to be careful about what you post on the wall and how you respond to comments.
4) When you post to the wall of your Facebook page as an admin, the activity will NOT show up in your personal profile feed. I find many clients get confused as to what they believe people can see on their profiles. The Facebook PAGE is separate from your PROFILE or PERSONAL PAGE.
5) People you connect with via Facebook through your personal page are "friends." People who click the Like button on your Facebook business page are generally called "fans" or "likes." When a person "likes" your Facebook business page, they won't have access to your personal information unless you have also added him as a friend on your personal profile and granted that access.
6) As an admin of a business page, you can assume the "persona" of the page/business and comment on other Facebook business pages. You cannot, right now, comment in groups or on personal profile walls. You can, though, reshare a wall post from a personal profile.
This doesn't begin to scratch the surface of Facebook basics, but if you are new to Facebook hopefully this will give you a clearer picture of the difference between the business page and the personal profile. Most importantly, you need a personal account to maintain a page. If you delete your personal account, you lose the access.

Social Media Marketing 101 -- By Brian N Biesik

What is Social Media Marketing?
If you have an income generating website, and you want it to do well, then it is a given that you must promote it. As many people have discovered, one of the most effective ways to market a new business is through the use of social media sites.
If you're not familiar with the term social media, it basically refers to any of the popular networking web sites that are available on the internet. These sites include Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, and Tumblr; just to name a few. All of these sites, and many others, are great marketing tools because they expedite the process of gaining exposure on the internet.
Through the use of social networking sites, you can instantly make your family and friends aware of your new website, product, or service. These sites create a spider web effect that not only raises awareness amongst your direct sphere of influence, but also amongst their contacts, their contacts' contacts, and so on. That being said, there is virtually an infinite number of people who can gain access and exposure to your web site.
Is Social Media Marketing Right for My Business/Web Site?
The beauty of social media marketing is that it is appropriate for virtually any type of business you can imagine. If you are skeptical, then I want you to witness the popularity of social media marketing for yourself.
If you have a Facebook account, as most people do, search for a local business...perhaps a local candy shop, ice cream shop, or flower shop. In most cases, you will find that these businesses are all equipped with a Facebook fan page.
Now, let's broaden our horizons...let's search for a huge, muti-billion dollar per year company on Facebook...perhaps Pepsi or McDonald's. As you may have guessed, these international corporations are also outfitted with their very own Facebook fan pages.
Keep in mind that Facebook is only one social networking site. Many people and/or companies are on every major networking web site that they can find. As previously mentioned, these companies realize that social media marketing is one of the quickest and most effective ways to promote new offers, and therefore grow their customer base.
My advice to anyone that is either starting a business or looking to grow their existing business is to become a member of as many social networking web sites as you can possibly maintain and update regularly (at least three to five times per week). Be aware that doing so can be a daunting task. However, if you are dedicated and committed to increasing your internet exposure, then you can grow your business exponentially.
How to Approach to Social Media Marketing:
When you first launch a business, online or otherwise, it is very important to give people a reason to see what you have to offer. Depending on your particular business model, you must determine the best way to entice people to look further into your product or service.
Many companies use promotions or special offers to encourage people to click on their links and to visit their sites. Social media marketing can be easily incorporated into such promotions. For example, let's imagine that you wanted to increase your visibility on Facebook. You could announce that once fifty (50) people "like" your fan page, then you will give away a prize (a product or service) for free to one lucky fan.
If you are a brand new business, and cannot afford to incur a promotional expense, then you can try to catch potential customers' eyes another way. When I first started promoting my new business through social media, I used a very straightforward and almost "in your face" approach. My posts would read something along the lines of... "Check out my new site," and would be followed by a link back to my web site. Although I did receive a few hits each day, mostly from family members and friends, it was nothing substantial.
I learned a long time ago that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting to get a different result. Therefore, I knew it was time to change my approach. I could not be more happy that I did so.
I began to generate traffic directly to my site through motivational/inspirational quotes and sayings. To be very specific, I would insert a motivational post onto my personal Facebook profile. As a tagline/signature, I would insert a link to either my Facebook fan page or to my main web site. I would also post the same motivational/inspirational message on my Facebook fan page and my Twitter account for my current fans and followers. This process just about doubled the number of interactions on my Facebook page as well as the number of hits on my web site in a very short timeframe.
If you would like to model this advertising approach, then please feel free to check out my examples on both Facebook ( http://www.facebook.com/affiliatespotofgold ) and Twitter (@affpotofgold).
I wish you all the success in the world.

Unstoppable Online Income - By RJ Bai

How can you build a business where the online income is long term? Almost unstoppable? Building an online business is easier than you think because the educational products are far better today then before. You can create a very nice income without having to put up a barrel of money to start. Lets look at a few tips to help you get started.
Time and Effort
If you are going to put in the time and effort to build an online business, then why not build it so it provides a steady lifetime of income? If you choose the correct business model you will be able to build a business in as little as 3 years that can provide you with online income that lasts a lifetime.
I believe people have seen enough of the "Get Rich Quick" schemes and if serious, are ready to explore the opportunities ahead of them utilizing the Internet.
Building Relationships
Building relationships with potential customers has, and still is, the way to long term online income prosperity. Some people ask, what do you mean by prosperity? Each of us has their own definition of prosperity. I'm saying that in a time frame of 2 to 3 years a person can build an online income in the range of $20,000.00 dollars a month. This is realistic and is being done by average people all the time.
Focus on the word Building, building takes time to do. If you really think about how fast 3 years goes by and project forward 3 years, then you see that it really isn't that long at all.
Time Wasted
Another area where all of us can improve on is time. If you log down how much time is wasted daily and just take a portion of that time to build your own online business, you could achieve your income goals sooner than 3 years. You see, the foundation for building a lifetime of online income is not just learning how to build a website, it is doing the things that matter. This is where your time has to be spent to build unstoppable income.
The question someone starting has is, what matters? Where should I spend my time so that it is productive?
There are two areas where time is best spent, they are in learning and doing. If you are serious about learning, then take a look at the Lifetime Online Income System. It's simple yet comprehensive enough to help you reach your income potential. Anything you want to get good at requires understanding, when you better understand something you naturally do it better. 3 years is not a long time to wait for financial freedom, if you never start the wait will be longer. Take a look at what we offer and decide for yourself. The only obligation you have is time, take a moment, take a look today.

Affiliate Marketing for Beginners - Is Real Income Possible? -- By Peter Lawlor

When it comes to understanding affiliate marketing, whether you're a beginner or veteran, you either get it or you don't.
I don't mean that you necessarily understand all the methods and techniques; that takes a long time to master. I'm talking about understanding the power of being an affiliate as a true business model.
I got into web marketing for my small business. I needed clients, so I turned to the web. In the process, I discovered affiliate marketing. Until then, I naively believed the only way websites made money was by selling banner ads or AdSense.
The affiliate marketing concept hit my in the gut; I was blindsided by a concept so simple: yet I immediately understood the potential.
In fact, there really is no limit to how big of a business you can build as an affiliate, even if you're just a beginner.
Like I said, I ran a small offline business which entailed a lot of customer service. As an affiliate, on the other hand, you gain access to tens of thousands of products to sell and you don't have to worry about customer service, shipping, returns, support, etc. The fact is you can focus 100 percent of your time and energy on selling.
The best 2 aspects of affiliate marketing is it's scalable and presents a passive income opportunity.
Affiliate marketing for beginners.
There are only 2 requirements to succeed and make money as an affiliate - whether you're a beginner or veteran. Those two requirements are:
  1. Traffic; and
  2. Pre-selling copywriting.
That's it. If you can get traffic to your affiliate offer and can pre-sell it, you can make money.
Affiliate marketing for beginners is the same as it is for veterans. Don't complicate it. Don't think it requires all kinds of fancy set up. All you need, at the foundational level is traffic and pre-selling copy.
Now that the abstract is take care of, I'll discuss a few concrete methods so that affiliate marketing for beginners. There are many methods and techniques for being an affiliate marketer. This is good. But it also helps to latch onto one method and run with it.
Affiliate marketing for beginners - 3 methods:
1. List building
Yes, you've probably heard this before. List building is a technique that has generated millions of dollars in profits.
Again, for list building to succeed, you need traffic to your page where you attract subscribers and copy that converts visitors to subscribers.
How do you attract subscribers? Offer something valuable to your targeted readers. In any niche there's some question or series of questions you can answer. Create a report or guide giving the information sought and give it away in exchange for an email address.
You can give away videos, free stuff, run contests, give away access to software... the sky is the limit. Be creative and put yourself in the shoes of your target market and ask: what would I want to know?
This model can take a little while to generate an income unless you buy some traffic to your opt in page. However, once you build a list of subscribers and you treat them well, you have a ready audience for your affiliate promotions.
2. Build a loyal audience and recommend products
If you can build a loyal audience with a blog or an e-newsletter, then you can recommend products that some of your audience will buy. This model includes building a blog. You can then recommend products in your blog posts and/or in an e-newsletter your run.
This method takes time to establish because it takes time to build up a loyal audience of readers.
3. Create a review website
This is probably one of faster methods to earn money in affiliate marketing. The concept is exceedingly simple and when done right, effective.
A review site is an excellent affiliate marketing model for beginners. It's as simple as writing about a product you use and like. Write about every aspect of it... your likes, dislikes, how it helped you, why you bought it, and of course, where to buy it. You then provide an affiliate link to where it's sold online.
There's no reason to stop at one product (although the single product review website is a viable and effective review website mode). You can also create affiliate review websites that promote an entire product line. This format is more informational than a personal recommendation. This too, can be effective.
Is real income possible, even for beginner affiliate marketers?
Yes. I'm no veteran by any stretch. However, I earn a decent monthly income from affiliate marketing using the 3 techniques above (the review site accounts for the bulk of my affiliate marketing income). Most importantly, using concrete models, I focus like a laser on traffic and pre-selling copy.
Next, discover how to build profitable affiliate review sites and start earning an online income relatively quickly.
Or, check out this product review WordPress theme for building professional review websites.

Affiliate Marketing - What It Is? --- By Carmen Matthews

What is affiliate marketing? To describe it in simple terms, it is a way to make money online where a person, as an online publisher, receives benefits for helping other businesses promote their website, products, and services. This can be done by providing links to the business being promoted through an affiliate's own blogs or website.
According to a recent survey made in a popular blog site, 29% of bloggers and blog readers regularly engage in affiliate marketing activities while 24% say they sometimes do it. On the other hand, 27% said that they have never done it or used their blogs for that purpose. 6% said that they used to engage in the activity but have stopped for various reasons; while 14% have no idea on what it is.
There are many ways of promoting a business, the most common of which is to provide links to the business on the affiliate's website or blog posts in exchange for commissions when the referrals actually make a purchase. Other programs pay for referrals who act positively on calls for action made through your website such as subscribing for a newsletter or participating in an online survey, where they leave their email address or other contact information.
Normally, the fees for referrals come in the form of commissions which are usually a percentage of a consummated sale, but may also be a fixed amount paid for each conversion. In affiliate marketing, conversions are usually monitored using a link with an embedded code known only to the advertiser who then tracks the source of the conversions, often through cookies. In some other cases, the advertiser may give the publisher coupon codes for use by their readers. The coupon codes are then used in tracking conversions.
A lot of advertisers prefer to use affiliate marketing to promote their products and services primarily because of two reasons:
  1. With this marketing method, advertisers do not have to worry about unnecessarily paying for promotional expenses because they only have to pay whenever there is a conversion. This means that they get a lot of advertising mileage from their network of affiliates that help boost overall sales, while making minimal spending for overhead expenses by paying the affiliate marketers only for the actual sales they make.
  2. Advertisers are likewise aware that a lot of web publishers prefer to be affiliate marketers simply because products that are relevant to their own websites can help boost their earnings way beyond what other advertising schemes such as cost per click or cost per impression, can do.
Affiliate marketing works best when trust is established between the publisher and its audience or followers. This is why such programs are very profitable for bloggers who have a huge following as they can easily recommend products or services to their readers. However, this can also work against the blogger as he risks breaking his readers' trust by promoting the wrong products. A blogger therefore must be careful in selecting an affiliate marketing program to join, and which products to promote.

Make Money With Affiliate Marketing --- By David Ansley

As the Internet continues to grow and spread out to cover all parts of the world, everyone wants on the online bandwagon. The craze for everything Internet started quite a number of years ago, and is today showing no signs of slowing up. In fact, it's only increasing due to the current economic climate as more people are turning to the internet for a second income opportunity. Businesses are shifting to the online world in a bid to attract customers from all over. Nowadays, everybody wants to exploit the huge customer base that the Internet has opened up. However, in order to make this happen, one must establish one's online presence through Internet marketing. And one of the most common and profitable ways in which Internet marketing is being carried out today is through "affiliate marketing".
In most cases of affiliate marketing, a website owner is able to get other websites or individuals to promote his or her site. This can be carried out by means of using banner ads, the use of small text links, and even product reviews. It is sensible to begin an online venture with affiliate marketing, as it is so cost effective and most affiliate programs today are free to join. Every website is seeking to maximize the traffic that it gets, and affiliate marketing is a great way to achieve this. The great thing about this channel of online marketing is that a website gets increased traffic through an indirect source. This is much more valuable because the customers that reach the website through the affiliate link are already eager to know more about the product and service being offered.
Making money online through the use of Affiliate Marketing isn't rocket science, and you don't have to be a computer genius to succeed in this area either. Currently online myself I have set up multiple streams of income, making modest daily amounts each. But originally when I began, it did take quite a number of months to figure it out. With the help and guidance I received online through forums and communities I've joined, I did succeed, and so can you.
Be willing to learn from any mistakes that you make, be willing to take some criticism, but most important of all is to be willing to put in the time and work required to make things happen for you Today! Very few people are turning into millionaires overnight, however it is in most people's abilities to obtain a decent living or create a life changing residual income.
I do truly wish you all the best in which ever online business opportunity you choose to go for, work hard, and put in the effort and you will succeed. Just TAKE ACTION...

Twitter Marketing Software - The Best Way to Promote Yourself on Twitter - Usage Guide -- By Steve J Wright Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/4352296

For a few days now, we have had some interest in our opinions on how to appropriately use Twitter marketing software such as Tweet Adder and Tweet Whistle, so we decided we'd offer our views with you here. We've had problems as well as many, many successes and it all makes for high-quality suggestions and good advice.

So here are our best Twitter marketing tips, we've put on screen for you...

Some things to consider before starting; if you're employing Tweet Adder, automate it to unfollow users who have not followed you in return after a few days. Let's be honest, if the member are not regular to Twitter then you wouldn't want them to be a follower and if they are they'll most likely have overlooked your follow request and 3 days is more than enough of a period for them to reciprocate. In addition before you begin to follow users make sure you have at least 5 normal and intriguing messages on your account. Would you follow someone back who has no posts at all or a person with a considerable amount of promotional material on their profile?

If your Twitter page is brand new and you've just started using it, using your Twitter marketing tools, follow up to 50 members per day for the first few weeks or so. Don't purely add 500 members to your list for the reason that you will be banned from Twitter. This possibly will sound a little sluggish however to have a lucrative Twitter marketing promotion you'll need to have some patience. As you are getting users onto your list unfollow the users who have not followed you in return using the settings that you've assigned in Tweet Adder. Twitter Marketing Success Tips - Three Keys To Successfully Using Twitter For Marketing -- By Dawson Alexander Barber Platinum Quality Author

In you're interested in learning about Twitter marketing - specifically, about how to get Twitter marketing right - then you're going to want to pay close attention to the information in this article. That's because it's going to introduce you three keys to Twitter marketing success, without which your best efforts will be doomed to failure.
It's About The Numbers
It's often been said that marketing is a numbers game, that if you have a big enough audience, sooner or later some of your messages are going to stick.
Twitter marketing is no different: you're going to need to get a sufficient number of followers in order for your Twitter marketing efforts to succeed.
What is a "sufficient" number of followers? The answer depends on your conversion - of followers to visitors to your website and, ultimately, of visitors to buyers.
You'll have to do some tracking to know what this is. You can use Google Analytics to set up conversion paths (using Twitter as the visitor source) and then "reverse engineer" the numbers based on your conversions for your Twittering marketing efforts.
Get Your Targeting Right
If you're randomly following Twitter users - and getting randomly followed back - then you're wasting a lot of time and effort. You're also going to find that your conversions will be extremely low, meaning that you'll really need to put the emphasis on the Twitter marketing "numbers game."
If you want to get better results with less effort, then get your targeting right. This means identifying people who are likely to be interested in the types of products and services you offer based on their use of keywords (that are relevant to your business) in their profiles and in their Tweets. For some of you, it may also mean identifying people on the basis of location.
This kind of targeting is easy enough to do with free tools, such as Twitter's own search facility - which you can find at search.twitter.com - or on sites such as twellow.com, which is, essentially, the Twitter equivalent to the Yellow Pages.
If you get your targeting right, you'll find that your conversions will increase, which will mean that any additional marketing effort you put into building up your numbers will produce even greater returns.
Make Sure Your Activity Is Follower-Focused
When it comes to Twitter marketing success, activity is important. You can't expect your followers to seek out what you offer. But it takes more than just "raw" activity to succeed at Twitter marketing. It takes "follower-focused" activity.
Follower-focused activity basically means listening first, adding value second, and then connecting what you're hearing to what you offer.
It does not mean what most Twitter marketers do, which is to spam their followers with an endless series of promotions. There's no surer or faster way to get ignored or unfollowed.
You have to learn to listen and learn. Then offer something of genuine value - information, education, entertainment, and so forth - that costs your followers nothing more than their time to consume.
After you've established yourself as a trustworthy member of the Twitter community - that is, as someone who is perceived to be both competent and benevolent - it's okay to periodically intersperse your conversations and Tweets with your offers.
Just make sure that when you do put a promotion out into the Twittersphere, you observe some basic Twitter marketing guidelines: disclose the fact that you're promoting an offer (#sponsored or #promo or #aff link) and make sure that the offer is relevant to your followers (if you've done you're targeting right, this, of course, should not be an issue).
Better still, rather than Tweeting a link to a promotion, consider adding your promotions to some useful or entertaining content that you have developed and Tweet the link to the content (provided that promotion is relevant to the content).
You're likely find that your followers will be more responsive to a "contextualized" offer. And you know what that means: higher conversions.
There's one more thing you should consider doing in order to maximize the return you'll get on your Twitter marketing efforts...
While there's no doubt that effective Twitter marketing can give your business a real boost, it can also be extremely time-consuming.
Make sure you click on the link to check out some killer Twitter marketing software that will help you identify, "acquire," and manage communications with tens or hundreds of thousands of followers in short order.

What's the First Thing You Need to Do to Start a Blog?

(Make Money Blogging With This Simple Step)

If you're just setting out to start a blog, you're making a very wise decision. Blogs are one of the best ways that you can make money online today because they're easy to start (and you can start them very fast) and they are fun to maintain. Plus, you truly can make an income with a blog even if you're new to online marketing. So what do you do to get your blog started and running? Here's the first step you need to take to make money with your blog.
Before you can even begin to make a penny off of your blog, you will need to take one crucial step in preparation. It is absolutely imperative that you begin blogging for money by getting a solid business model in place. This might sound ridiculous if you're thinking blogging is an easy way to make money on the internet. It is. But if you want to be successful, you absolutely must plan for success. Doesn't that only make sense? Here's why.
All successful businesses begin with a strategic plan. You have to literally plan for success. And yes, the blog you're about to create is a business. It might be easier to run and way cheaper to start up, but it is a business - you're going to be providing a service (the content of your blog) and in exchange, you'll be compensated monetarily (through advertising, product sales and affiliate sales). So before even creating your blog, you need to decide on how you want to monetize your blog because that's going to affect every element of your blog from the niche you choose to go into to the design of the blog itself.
Creating a money-making blog should be simple but many people find the process difficult and confusing. If you want to learn how to set up your very own blog for free, sign up for my Make Money Blogging Challenge today!
The Challenge provides step-by-step instructions and ongoing personal support and assistance and is 100% free for a limited time. Sign up and rise to the challenge today!

Journey to Steady Online Income

Finally After Two Years & Two Months: Steady Online Income

After only two years & two months we have a steady stream of online income.
The slow and persistent path always works.
It may always work but the pressures of missed goals and learning curves are brutal.
The living expenses never stop, the self imposed isolation keeps you wondering if you're doing it right.
Well, as it turns out, you are doing it right. The, keeping on keeping on, doing what you're doing is the right way.
Of course, you need to be able to see what is working and what is not working. Than you adjust your focus accordingly.
But that is how we established and are growing that all elusive online income.
We now have drips and drabs of income coming from several streams.
Below I  will run down the streams and try to keep them in chronological order as I remember their genesis.
==========================================================
Journey to online income for a rain gutter installer of  30 years.
Rain gutters was the home improvement type self employed business I ran most of my life.
We intend to list the steps and streams of online income we have established to this point  (note to reader: when I use we in this article I mean Me) Hi I am Bill Welcome to my Journey

1. First income stream started after we learned what an online presence was and how easy it is to start one. Being a self employed type entrepreneur for the last 30 years I am fortunate enough to have many acquaintances that are self employed or own their own businesses.

Of course some knew they needed to get online so they were the first income stream. I put up a blogger.com blog for the first client/friend. They paid what I ask for. (one time payment)
As we learned more about online presence, social media jumped into our view as a free traffic source. So we concentrated on organic traffic only. (Organic=no dollar cost, Only time and effort cost)

Twitter, Facebook, Mysapce, Youtube and Linkedin were all studied. Studied in this case means we set up an account for free and learned what we were doing as we were doing it.
These social media platforms are used for directing traffic to the blogger.com blog among other uses. Trial and error is the only way we learn so we did a lot of it.
But it is free and all the knowledge needed for all of this is free, online. You just have to learn how to find the best sources of this free info.
Google account is our best source for any and all info on any and all subjects. Google alerts, included with a google account, are what you set up to get fed the articles you are looking for on any subject. FREE FREE FREE  Google accounts take care of all your online presence needs. Email accounts (each client),alerts(info), folders (organize) and a lot of stuff  we don't know of, yet.

2. Second income stream started after we learned what is and how to use Twitter & Facebook. We developed a package deal for offline businesses wanting to get online.
Bars need to be online, like every other business in the world.
Being a former great beer drinker I know a lot of bar owners.
Well they started to buy our package of  Twitter, Facebook page and Blogger.com blog. This package cost us nothing but time and effort.
We charged a set up fee and a daily fee to keep the sites current and updated as needed. This wasn't a lot of money but it was enough to pay for our next step into some much needed Hosting.

3.Third income stream came from all the twitter accounts and other social networking we had accumulated for our selves and our clients. Sponsored tweeting is a free way to have the advertisers give you money when they need to get the word out for one of their products, services or events. There are many companys that will pay you to tell your followers on twitter or facebook and throughout your whole network about their designated product, service or event. These are all free also. You get paid by the tweet or how many times your followers click on the tweet.

All you do is establish a twitter account, or many, on topics that you're interested in. Some of mine are Relationships, Alternative Energy and Mind Journeys.
Each account should be focused on a limited subject area to make it more easily seen by the advertisers looking to share a product in your niche (your targeted market).

4. Fourth income stream is really many because this stream includes the many affiliate products and services that we put on our blogs and websites.
Affiliate products are the ads you see on sites with banner ads or links embedded in the text of an article. The links are how they know you are the one that got that person to click on their ad.
All the good affiliate programs are free so don't pay to join any of them. FREE FREE FREE
The best thing about affiliate programs is that after you join you will get the commission from your own purchases, if you need their products.
Many commissions are 50% or higher. The good affiliate programs also have their own training for you to learn the system.
Once you learn one affiliate system you will find the rest are much more easily integrated into your network of online presence. They all are very similar.

Well that just about covers the main events of my online income journey.
Thanks for letting me share the highlights with you.
Please leave any comments or questions you may have at the designated area.
The Journey is all we have so as in life Have a great one
Your friend
Bill

8 Keys To Affiliate Marketing

8 Key Differences Between Super Affiliates and Struggling Affiliates
Author: Beau Blackwell, ClickBank | March 24th, 2010

Written by: Mark Ling, Guest Author

Since I’ve been a successful affiliate marketer for a long time and have coached many affiliates on how to be more successful, I thought it could be helpful write about the key differences that I see between the mindsets of super affiliates and struggling affiliates.

If you have dabbled in affiliate marketing but aren’t making a killing yet, then you might find that some of the differences I mention below are issues you need to resolve first.

1. Super affiliates take action towards their goals, while struggling affiliates often procrastinate, or spend too much time overeducating or preparing themselves and not enough time DOING. Super affiliates are usually prepared to fail fast and often, learning from their mistakes, rather than not making any progress at all.

2. Super affiliates invest their money in software, marketing, and outsourcing, and then spend what is left. Struggling affiliates spend the vast majority of their money on other parts of their lives, and then invest what is left in their online business.

3. Super affiliates invest their time in networking with and learning from other successful people, whereas struggling affiliates often try to work alone, or listen to people who have a negative influence on them. In addition, super affiliates try to learn as much as possible from other successful people through books, audio, or DVDs. This is especially important when you’re not in a position or location where you can network with other successful Internet marketers face to face.

4. On a similar note, super affiliates enjoy the process of learning, even when they’re learning from their failures. Struggling affiliates often don’t enjoy having to constantly learn new techniques and ideas, and don’t appreciate the experience of failing in order to learn and grow.

5. Most super affiliates understand the power of their mind and focus on developing strong self belief and an abundance mindset, whereas struggling affiliates can get derailed by negative self-talk, focusing on what is going wrong in their lives and in their affiliate marketing efforts.

6. Most super affiliate millionaires that I’ve met in person (and I’ve met dozens) only focus on one or two niches. It’s true that most have experimented in many other niches in order to find the ‘golden’ one or two that work for them. Struggling affiliates, though, are often scattered all over the place, and even when they find a niche that makes them money, they keep moving on to the next niche without fully maximizing their potential or getting to know a niche in extreme depth.

7. Most super affiliates build a strong mailing list through email capture and make regular repeat sales to the same people. Struggling affiliates often like to skip the process of building a website to gain leads and focus on direct traffic, missing out on the chance of repeat sales and having more marketing opportunities.

8. Most super affiliate millionaires I know, including myself, make the vast majority of their money from the big competitive niches, and not from the smaller, less competitive niches. Super affiliates are not afraid of competition, whereas many struggling affiliates are. Super affiliates realize that to make big money, you have to go where the big money is. I’ll clarify this by saying that small niches are good to sink your teeth into early on and to make some sales, but in the long run, to make 7 figures or more online, you need to get good at marketing in one of the major niches where billions of dollars are being spent (e.g., diet/fitness, make money online, dating/relationships niches, self-help, security software, etc.).

I hope the above differences between super affiliates and struggling affiliates inspire you to upgrade your mindset and start thinking and acting like a super affiliate! Above all, make sure you follow point #1: super affiliates take action towards their goals.

All the best to your success!

We Joined An Affiliate To Put Flowers On This Blog

We just today put our affiliate flower product on all our sites.
In this post I will walk through the protocol that is required to add an affiliate program/product on this blog.

First, we realized Mother's Day was around the corner. We know Mother's Day is the second largest volume sales day in an average year, in the U.S.A. This year is our first year with several blogs and sites up and running.

Second, we googled 1-800flowers. That search brought up several organic (not paid for) results.
We followed to the site by clicking on the first organic result.

Third, at the site for 1-800flowers we scrolled to the bottom of their page to look for and find the word affiliate or affiliate program.Clicking on the word affiliate brought us to the affiliate program for that product (flowers).

Fourth, after being taken to the affiliate program, we found it was named "Linkshare". We read alittle to see if it looked like the 1-800flowers product we see all around the web. They have several flower/gift products. After find that the product is what we wanted we joined the program for free, of course. We only work on free affiliate product programs. The linkshare program is a big one, they have hundreds of the big affiliate products in their program.

Fifth, after deciding this was an affiliate program we wanted to be a part of and it controlled the big flower products, we joined. Joining is just filling in their application form with your site URL so they can see that your site is O.K. with their policy. Your social security # or employee # for businesses are also required for all affiliate program registrations.

Sixth, now we have to verify our email address we provided. Done finished !!!!!!!

We now go to the affiliate program to familiarize ourselves with their process of selecting which products we want to share with our visitors to our site or our facebook friends/twitter followers or anyone who we choose to share with.

============================================

All affiliate program are run just about the same.

You choose which product you want to share
You choose what link you want to use
You choose if you want to use banner ads or text content ads
You can search through the affiliate program for your preferred  products
You can choose your product by commission percentage
You can choose your product by environmental features (green products)

Whatever your preferences are, it is all up to you

Click on the red and white Linkshare banner ad, above this post.
When you click you are using my new link to take you to "Linkshare's" Affiliate sign up page.

On the right side bar at the top is our new "1-800 flowers.com" banner ad.
When you click on that one you will be taken to the page where you can buy your Mother's Day Gifts.

I hope this post helped some to see how easy it is to set up an affiliate relationship with companys that need your help to share their products, that you and your friends are buying anyway.

Since we are all buying products anyway we may as well have a commission sent to our clickbank or paypal accounts.
I'll get into how the money gets to you in another post.
Have a great day
Bill
